Sorry for taking so long to update but i wasn't able to get internet access till i registered and i wasn't staying here at the hostel but my dad left tonight so now i'm staying at the hostel yeps
Thank you to everyone who came to the airport. For all the notes and stuff. My flight got delayed for two hours in the end so it was time spent waiting on the plane and sms-ing. It was such a long flight and i couldn't get much sleep and there were no nice movies to watch except the da vinci code which i had already watched!
The first week has been a blur settling in and shuttling between my uncle's place and my flat carrying things and getting everything organised.
From my room i can hear frequent police sirens at night! I wish i was back in safe Singapore. My room is rather small but amazingly i managed to fit my 70.7kg + 40kg of luggage all in. (I store alot of crap under the bed though)
The cost of using handphones here is waaay too high! I've spent like 20 pounds (60 sing) on top ups since i've arrived and i have 300 free uk sms! My silly hostel does not allow me to install a landline so i have been going to the public telephone to call back to singapore and it's really irritating and i can't do it at night because it's not safe. So now i'm awaiting the arrival of my bank card so that i can go and get a new phone and plan and hopefully spend less on handphone bills. Why can't the free sms be sent to singapore? SIGH
Drove out to the factory outlets at Swindon during the weekend and then went to eton/windsor. Did lots of shopping. Oh yes and i've driven in London too! It's really complicated here and not very nice to drive so i guess i won't be driving here anytime soon.
